Hi, I’m Marianne.
I’m closer to 30 than 20, but just barely.
I was born in Canada, but grew up in Norway. Went back to Canada for university (with an exchange semester in Singapore) and after a year-long stint working in London, I moved back to the land of the Vikings.
I’m currently trying to lose weight and get into shape – as I’m writing this, I’m 196 lbs/89 kg, and I would like to be smaller, thinner, healthier and IN BETTER SHAPE!
I’ve gone and done something so *insane* as sign up to Berlin Marathon in September, so I had better get my ass in gear.
Edit: I actually did. But now, in mid-August, I realise this was a ridiculous move. The longest I’ve ever run is 12 km, and I think I was being highly unrealistic. (THINK?).
Anyway. New plan is to run a 10K in late August. I would love to run a half marathon next year, and at one point in my life, I *will* run a marathon. But not this year, no siree.
